TASTING NOTES
"Copper Tongue breaks the mold, with a nose and palate heavy on Bananas Foster, citrus and instead of an oaky spice, what Austin describes as “almost like cedar, like juicy wood.” It doesn’t taste like a typical Dickel whiskey, it doesn’t taste like it’s cask strength and it definitely doesn’t taste its age. Copper Tongue is an outlier in all the best ways."
Appearance: This liquid is a very clear, medium amber that beads and forms thick tears.
Nose: On the nose, it’s brown-sugar sweet mingled with forest floor, a whisper of stamp glue weaving through and the presence of a dusty dirt road. After resting in the glass smoked meat was there, too.
Palate: Super dry on the attack, this whiskey is spicy and a touch saline. It’s clean like fresh linens and has a cigar box note riding out to a medium, lightly tannic finish.
