Like the rich musty waft of walking into a vintage saddle barn full of old tack and the scent of earth and wood, Ardbeg Twenty Something 23 year old Committee Release single malt Scotch is a darkly hued quaff of masterfully crafted whiskey. The nose opens like a vintage barn door with layers of aged leather, peat, and smoked oak with hits of bright lemon tea and vanilla soaked macadamia nuts. On the palate, the mouth is introduced to sweet blends of dewy peat and leather over cracked peppers, tendrils of caramel, and darkly roasted herbal tea and citrus.
