It is crafted with a focus on traditional distillation techniques and draws from a deep family heritage in tequila production. The Camarena family, instrumental in the creation of Primo 1861 Blanco, has roots in tequila making that trace back to the 1700s. They were pioneers in planting Blue Weber agave in the Jalisco region and established the first tequila distillery in Arandas, which unfortunately was destroyed during the Mexican Revolution.

The tequila is produced at the El Pandillo Distillery in Jalisco's Jesús María, under the expertise of master distiller Felipe Camarena. It has a 43% alcohol by volume (ABV) content and is celebrated for its rich and expressive character.
