Backbone Old Bones 10-Year-Old Reserve Rye Whiskey is a testament to the craft and creativity in the whiskey industry. This premium rye whiskey is aged for at least 10 years, showcasing a blend of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, with part of it finished in apera barrels, an Australian-style sherry. This finishing process imparts unique flavours to the whiskey, bottled at a robust 110-proof (55% ABV). The result is a whiskey with a lovely dark reddish hue, offering tasting notes that include a minty start, followed by a sweetness reminiscent of honey and butterscotch, with a hint of spice, and concluding with a minty aftertaste.
