Notes from Nate: The best blanco tequila from the best distillery in Mexico, Cascahuin! With apologies to Fortaleza and G4 who are also in the conversation, I consistently prefer Cascahuin products across the board. For their Tahona Blanco Cascahuin uses their oldest best agave, tahona extraction and open air fermentation with fibers in a cement tank to help reinforce the stoney minerality and complexity from the tahona. The mouthfeel is dense for a blanco with notes of roasted agave, honey, citrus , tropical fruit, pepper, lemongrass, minerals and brine. This is a must try Distillery folks. If you'd like to check out other Cascahuin made tequila give Wild Common, Lagrimas and Siembra Valles a try.
