St. George Spirits' 40th Anniversary Whiskey is a special release celebrating their four decades of distilling. This single malt is crafted from a blend of 14 carefully selected barrels, including some of their oldest stock dating back to 1997. The mash bill consists of 100% two-row malted barley, roasted to five different levels: pale malt, crystal malt, chocolate malt, black patent malt, and alder/beechwood-smoked malt sourced from Bamberg, Germany​​.

The whiskey is aged in a combination of ex-bourbon, French oak, and various finishing casks, including Cognac, Port, Sherry, California Sauternes-style, and umeshu (Japanese plum wine) barrels, which impart unique fruity and complex flavors​​. Limited to 1,982 bottles, it features a nose of vibrant cola, dark chocolate, and sandalwood, and a palate rich with dark chocolate, walnut fudge, and stone fruit, culminating in a long, complex finish​​.
