They start by sourcing the best citrus fruit they can find: Valencia oranges, Seville oranges, and bergamot from Lindcove Ranch, a family farm in the San Joaquin Valley. We have been working with the Kirkpatrick family for years because they grow incredible fruit in a way that takes care of California’s farmland. The blend of three citrus fruits gives us the suggestion of sweetness, perfumed aromatics, and a hint of tanginess that adds depth to cocktails.

Making California Citrus Vodka fills every inch St. George's 65,000-square-foot distillery with the evocative aromas of an orange grove. They distill the Valencia, Seville, and bergamot separately so they can blend them to account for the natural changes in flavour that happen season to season. They then filter the resulting vodka to remove visible impurities before bottling.

The Experience

Astonishingly clear citrus flavour, genuinely tasting of both sour and sweet orange. Redolent of the whole citrus plant, with a focus on the bright peel characteristics. Tart almost lemony scent in the nose.
