El Jolgorio, meaning "the revelry," reflects the essence of small festivals known as Jolgorios in remote Oaxacan mountain villages. These festivals mark various life events, and for centuries, traditional mezcal has been the heart of these celebrations. Established in 2010, El Jolgorio brings together sixteen different mezcal-distilling families from ten regions in Oaxaca, each with a unique story. Hand-marked with specific batch details, every bottle fosters a connection between the drinker and the family behind the expression. In 2017, realizing the rarity of certain agave varieties, El Jolgorio introduced black bottles for limited editions.

El Jolgorio Todos Santos Mezcaleros Tobala is a special edition released in 2021, holds significance as part of the Casa Cortés second Todos Santos release.

Todos Santos, a three-day celebration in Mexican culture, commemorates departed friends and loved ones. This edition pays homage to San Luis del Rios’ esteemed Master Mezcalero, Rafael Méndez Cruz. Casa Cortés, in collaboration with the Méndez family and the San Luis del Rio community, dedicates 100% of the proceeds toward the construction of the "Rafael Méndez Cruz Commemorative Park" in San Luis del Rio. Distilled in 2021 by Maestro Mezcalero “Tio” Pedro Vasquez and bottled at a traditional 54% ABV, this mezcal encapsulates a commitment to tradition and community.
