Widow Jane's The Vaults 2023 is a meticulously crafted blend of the distillery's oldest and rarest whiskeys, sourced from Tennessee and Indiana, and aged for a minimum of 15 years. This exceptional blend is part of Widow Jane's annual limited release, The Vaults series, which is known for showcasing bold flavors imparted by the specific wood used for finishing. The 2023 edition stands out for being finished in Chinquapin Oak casks that were air-seasoned for at least 48 months. These casks were harvested from trees grown on a limestone-rich shelf in Northern Kentucky, enduring the dramatic weather shifts typical of the mid-South, which contributes to the whiskey's unique flavor profile.

The Vaults 2023 presents a symphony of aromas and flavors. On the nose, it offers toasted marshmallow, pear turnover, honeydew, and cinnamon. The palate is treated to honeycomb, butterscotch, raisin, molasses, dried apricots, and root beer, leading to a finish that lingers with notes of pralines and cream, roasted oolong, black walnut, and licorice. This edition is non-chill filtered and proofed with limestone mineral water from the Rosendale Mines of New York, adding to its round mouthfeel and exceptionally long finish.

This release is Widow Jane's first national bourbon under the direction of Sienna Jevremov, who was appointed head distiller and blender in October 2022.
